River Gables is perfectly located in a calm section of the river that is in the middle of the complete run.Our members launch from their private beach and enjoy a relaxing float before gradually experiencing larger and more challenging rapids in the “Gorge”.This gives everyone time to practice paddling as a team and learning how to take orders from the experienced River Guide.The trip ends when you arrive at Folsom Lake at the SalmonFallsBridge.After a 20 minute shuttle ride back to River Gables everyone relaxes in the spa and they are now ready for the Upper.
The shuttle ride to Chili Bar takes less than ½ hour and the “put –in” is directly below the dam. The first rapid is “Meat Grinder” and the experienced team is now ready for this action because they have just spent the previous day on the Lower Section. There are some really fun rapids on the upper and the famous “Trouble Maker” is the big challenge. The scenery is wonderful and you arrive back at River Gables only a few steps away from the hot spa and all of the comforts of your home on the river.
