This video was compiled by Jake Findleton after hours of videotaping by many dedicated videographers.  This is not the South Fork of the American River!  Some of this video was taken in South America, some at "The Gully" in West Virginia, and others on Sierra Nevada rivers at very high flow states.

The South Fork of the American River is mostly Class III+ rapids and is ideal for an exciting and safe rafting experience.  Helmets are required on Class IV and above rapids.  Many river guides actually want to flip the raft so that they can "save" you and receive a larger tip!

To my knowledge, NO ONE WAS SERIOUSLY HURT DURING ANY OF THIS CARNAGE!
